Many users have complained of frequent crash of HTC Wildfire phone. This is nothing but because of process overload due to excessive application load. This tip will help you to hard factory reset without turning on your HTC Wildfire phone. But be cautious that, opt this method only if you have failed to bring it on using normal methods because hard factory reset will delete all the data and configuration you have set in your phone. But data which were saved in SD card will not be deleted.
- Turn the power off. If your HTC Wildfire is frozen, pull the battery out and reinsert it
- Hold the Volume Down button
- Press and release the Power button
- You are now presented with a menu that allows for Fastbook, Recovery, Clear Storage, and Simlock
- Select Clear Storage by pressing the Volume Down button
- Press and release the Power button
- Now simply confirm your decision: Volume Up for YES and Volume Down for NO
If you selected YES, all data including third-party applications will be deleted from the HTC Wildfire.
Once the wipe is complete, the phone will reboot to its factory fresh state.
