How to block a website in my laptop without using any software?

But here, we will discuss how to block websites such as Facebook, Orkut, Myspace, Youtube etc. from your Laptop. These websites can sometimes eat your personal productive hours. Here is a very easy method which does not require any additional software installation.

1. Make sure you are using Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7
2. Click Start and Open 'Control Panel'
3. Now select Internet Options
4.Click on Content tab
5. Click the Enable button
6. Click on the Approved Sites tab
7. Type www.facebook.com (for example) in the box
8. Click Never and then OK
9. In the appeared window type and confirm your new password
10. Click on the General tab and make sure to select Users can see websites that have no ratings
11. Click OK

Now, you have to clear all the DNS cache from your local computer.
Open command prompt
and type ipconfig /flushdns and then type ipconfig /registerdns
Note: In windows vista or Windows 7 you have to Open Command prompt in Administrator mode to execute this command.
Additionally you have to clear all the history from the web browsers you are using.
Now reboot your computer and checkout if it works.
