For group blogging, it is always better to display the author names just below the post title. It will help the blog reads to easily identify who has written the particular posts. Most of the blogger templates are displaying the author name at the bottom of the post. But we can move the author name to top of the blog, just below the post tittle, using some alteration in the script. Lets do it:

1. Assuming that you have already launched blogger dash board, select the option: Design -> Edit HTML and select check box 'Expand Widget Templates'
2. Find the below code in the script:
       <div class='post-footer-line post-footer-line-1'>
      <span class='post-author vcard'>
        <b:if cond='data:top.showAuthor'>
          <data:top.authorLabel/>
          <span class='fn'><data:post.author/></span>
        </b:if>
      </span>

3.  Cut the section of the code which is marked in the bold letter above, and keep it in a notepad (by cutting the code from here, you are removing the author name from the bottom of the post)

4. Again, find the below code:
 <div class='post-body entry-content'>
            <data:post.body/>
            <div style='clear: both;'/> <!-- clear for photos floats -->
          </div>
5.  Now, copy the code you have already kept in the notepad, and paste it above this line:

      <div class='post-body entry-content'>

6.  The output will look like this:

       <span class='post-author vcard'>
              <b:if cond='data:top.showAuthor'>
                <data:top.authorLabel/>
                <span class='fn'><data:post.author/></span>
              </b:if>
            </span>
      <div class='post-body entry-content'>
            <data:post.body/>
            <div style='clear: both;'/> <!-- clear for photos floats -->
          </div>

8. Now save the template, and check if the Author name is displaying below the post title.

      Note:  You may get this kind of error for some templates:

      Your template could not be parsed as it is not well-formed. Please make sure all XML elements are closed properly.
      XML error message: The element type "b" must be terminated by the matching end-tag "".

      you can fix this by closing the open elements using end tags, for instance, the error above is suggesting that  the element <b> not properly closed, hence we can close this using </b> and save the template.
